    Help choosing a new laptop.


    I am buying a new laptop to replace my Dell Inspiron. I have owned the Dell for nine years. T is very slow even after having someone service it. I am not very computer savvy but want something that is fast and will last a while. My wife and I are in our 70s and don’t want to break the budget. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.     Don't really know how to help you. You are being vague. Here is what I would do. Choosing a case is aesthetics first. Shop NewEgg and list the cases you like and list them. Members will suggest the best choice from your selections.

    Take a gander at this list of laptop CPUs

    PassMark CPU Benchmarks - New Laptop CPUs Performance

    See if you can find something with an Intel i3 processor in your price range.

    The i3 Passmark scores seem to begin around 3000 and go up from there.

    They are a step up from the dreaded Celerons.
