    HELP! Completely locked out!


    This may be lengthy but here it goes. I have Windows 11 and was having trouble installing Office 365 so I went into safe mode which did not work, so thats another issue entirely. After restarting, I am prompted to set up a new pin. I have a pin already. So when I try to set up a new one it tells me it requires an app then restarts into admin mode. So, I continue to restart it thinking I would easily enter into recover mode and go from there...no. It then tells me that it needs to install system upgrades then shuts down. The only account it is allowing me to sign into is the guest accou

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    Hi Eugen,

    As you have already tried to update the driver and changed the settings, I suggest you perform a startup repair by following the steps below and check if it helps.

    • In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
    • Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.

    After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.
