Windows 10: Help disabling file thumbnail preview for PSD files

Hey everyone, im posting this again in hopes someone can help...Recently some of my PSD file changed to preview thumbnails instead of the regular PS icon. This happenedout of nowhere to my knowledge, only to PSD files. I tried uninstalling photoshop with removing all preferences and reinstalling it - didn't help. I tried turning off the "show thumbnails instead of icons" , which did fix the issue but created a new one by changing all my image files toalso show as icons which defeats the purpose so I have to keep this box checked. This really messes up with my work, I cant differentiate files

.psd files won’t display as thumbnails

I’m looking for an app that will display .psd files as thumbnails in File Explorer. I installed Sagethumbs to do this but I didn’t have a positive result. Some files displayed and done did not. Additionally, my .ai files are now without their branded Adobe icons. Looking for any additional fixes to viewing .psd as thumbnails.

Preview and Thumbnails of PDF files can be disabled on your PC . . .

I suggest that you follow steps below to enable this feature

Start Adobe Reader

Tap on Edit in the menu bar and select Preferences

Under Categories highlight General

Put the checkmark next to the box Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer

.PSD thumbnails not showing in explorer?


I use Windows 10, but ever since upgrade from XP to windows 7, PSD thumbnails are not showing in windows explorer, as jpg and gif does.
Tried this solution but nothing changed:
