  1. Help! DON'T CONNECT TO WIFI WHILE INSTALLING WIN10!

I have a Toshiba Satellite that was previously running Windows 10 which I was going to give to a family member after factory resetting it. I've installed Win 10 plenty of times before on VMs and such and didn't think this would be much different.

However, during the installation process I made the mistake of connecting to wifi before setting up the account. This normally wouldn't have been an issue in the past, but apparently Microsoft has modified the setup recently so that if you connected to wifi during setup you are only able to create a Microsoft account as opposed to a simple local account. Confirmed: Windows 10 Setup Now Prevents Local Account Creation

Now, I understand to some people this might not be an issue, but if at all possible I want to avoid feeding the pipeline that software corporations are corralling people into so they can force them to use their products their way. This comes down to a philosophical argument over the Right to Repair and all that stuff, but basically I don't want to be forced to register an account with Microsoft just to be able to use their OS since that's never been required until now.

Now, it should be simple right? Just go back in the setup and disconnect from wifi. But the back button only reloads the account creation options. Restarting the computer and clearing the RAM cache by holding the power button will start you back at that "Basics" part where Cortana starts talking and you have to mute her (why is this a thing?). After that, setup will skip over the "Network" part and go straight to the "Account" stuff.

Since I couldn't disconnect from wifi in the setup, I figured literally turning off my router so the computer couldn't connect might fix it, but the same thing still happens. Not sure how I could create a Microsoft account without wifi but ok.

With no apparent way to restart the installation, I decided to go back to the basics and boot from a USB. However, despite trying every single F1-F12 key during startup, it still goes straight back to the Win10 isntallation. I've gotten into the BIOS before a long time ago with this computer so I'm not sure what's different this time.

I frankly don't know what else to do. I hate to give in and create an account with Microsoft, but I can't think of any other options. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks for your time!

    :)

I can´t connect to my Wifi from my desktop with Window 10. I had an ethernet cable before and it worked perfectly but now I can´t connect my computer to the router through the cable anymore.

For some reason it detects my wifi network but when i try to connect it says i cant connect.

I followed a few tutorials online of how to fix it and still didn´t work.

    any help please???

    thanks in advance
