Lenovo Thinkpad. Upgraded to Edge browser and now any contact w/ touchpad scrolls the entire page. I see ostensible fixes using administrator access, but my job issued this Lenovo and I'm not about to pester my boss to babysit those processes. I dont mind fixes, I used to root the hell out my HTC G1. But a browser is as basic a feature as there is.

Ironically, I had no problems but Windows persistently prompted me to update, so I followed the instructions straight to no-workie town.

Even more ironically, my new macbook arrived the same day that I was unexpectedly issued the thinkpad. Excited to try something new, I happily returned the mac. Now I'm struggling to accept that after a decade of virtually zero problems I just went less than 1 day before Windows' primary feature fails. Please excuse my childish complaining, I really want to prefer Windows but this is exactly why I switched 10 years ago.

Were there an intuitive or otherwise simple fix this would be a non-issue. I see many many settings that affect the browser and the touchpad, do I really have to go through all of that administrator rigmarole in order to use the Windows browser?

    :)

    Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

    1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

    2. Type internet options

    3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

    4. Click on the advanced tab

    5. Scroll down to the security section

    6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
    Use SSL 3.0
    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

    7. Click apply

    8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.
