Windows 10: Help fixing possibly dead laptop before resorting to sending to manufacturer - AORUS 15P YD...

Hi all,I went to log in to my computer and noticed it had been restarted so I figured it was some sort of mandatory update Windows had performed. Windows started like normal, but after a few minutes I got the Windows Blue Screen with the sad face. I allowed it to restart and the same thing happened. I have a thumb drive backup I made using the AORUS software and I had some Windows Restore points so I didn't panic.I selected a restore point from a few days ago. The computer froze while trying to perform this update. I once more tried this process after another ":" screen critical_process_died

if it were a desktop i would say use a PCI card method or another PCI-e card on sli/xfire boards. If your laptop has dual GPUs then it could work. If not yoiu may have to send it back and have the manufacturer fix it but use this option as a last resort, someone here may suggest something else.

 

Aorus Laptop Freezing on Aorus Logo

Hello, I have an Aorus Laptop that won’t allow me to restart it, I click restart, it turns back on, but freezes on the Aorus logo, it’s causing major issues because I can’t update drivers and such because it crashes on restart.

I’ve unplugged everything, factory reset it, reinstalled windows 10 from scratch, I’m at the end of my tether with it.

 

Laptop updated to 1809. Can't get WOL to send out...

Not sure the topic is exactly accurate. Here's the story:

• Have been successful sending WOL to 2 other PCs in the house
• Had problems with laptop and sent to HP. They upgraded it to 1809
• Now when I send WOL packets the other PCs will not wake up

Given that it was working fine on those PCs before, and the noted changes are to the PC sending the packet, I'm assuming that my sending PC needs something configured.

My searches on WOL only find stuff about setting it up on the remote PC so it will wake up.

Any suggestions about why my sending PC is not sending?
