    Help... For some reason I can't hear background music or certain sound effects in games


    I've been having this issue for months now. I've been mostly playing Roblox, but also Minecraft and stuff, where I can't hear background music in any games and even some certain sounds, while I can hear other sound effects of walking for example, and stuff like that.I'm on Windows 11 Version 23H2 and am using a gaming laptop.Things I have tried:-Searching for people with the same problem, and I found out it's extremely rare. Those who had it got useless replies and most of the searching brings me to all audio being muted fixes.-Checking if it was my wireless headphones issue by changing the

    Weird Sound Effect playing in the Background from time to time

    Weird Sound Effect playing in the Background from time to time, Whenever I play a game or watch Netflix from time to time, I start to hear this weird sound effect sorta of like sci fi sound effect playing in the background (headset) and it hasn't happened
    before. I troubleshoot audio maybe even disable audio enhancements but nothing.

    Sound effect volume extremely low for Xbox Live Games

    I first noticed this problem after receiving the February and NoDo updates. When using headphones, the sound effects in all of my games are extremely low, almost completely muted. My work around to this problem has been to adust the in-game audio sliders
    (music all the way down, sound effects all the way up) and turn the phone volume to max just to hear the sound effects. This problem does not occur when I'm not using headphones.



    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Background music

    When I tried it a few nights ago the sound disappeared. Today my husband used my computer and the dreadful, annoying, background music is back. The steps you listed above are not working. Any ideas?
