Windows 10: Help, freeze on startup

So yesterday my computer was working fine, i didn't update anything or do anything to alter the start up.

Today after a few seconds of logging in it will freeze. I can sometimes manage to put in my password but it doesn't matter. As if on a timer it will freeze.

Safe mode works no problem. I get an error doing system restore, I get an error doing startup repair. I checked the logs for startup repair, nothing but a root cause found. No idea what that means.

So so far I have tried:

Start up menu(no test fails in log, but root cause found)

System restore(anyone tells me it can't because of some desktop file

Disabled all startup apps

Reinstalled/uninstalled usb drivers



I'm conflicted the safe mode works which tells me that some process that executes on normal startup runs into an error and causes the system to freeze. Although I don't even know how to debug this, the error logs show me nothing.





Is this a corrupted windows?

Winbook TW802 freezes on startup!

Hi,

I suggest you to create a Windows 10 installation media and perform a Startup Repair on the device and check if it helps to resolve the issue.
This is an alternate way to boot the device and run recovery tools when something goes wrong with the Operating system.

Please follow the steps below to do Startup repair:

Steps:-

          Insert the installation USB drive
          and boot Windows 10 from it.
          
          If you don't have one, you can Create an installation Media.
          
        • 
          In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the ‘language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’
          and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.
          
        • 
          Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.
          
        • 
          Click on ‘Advanced options’ and select ‘Startup Repair’
          and select the operating system.

Need help with freezing/crashing

Hi,

To help you with your concern regarding the freezing of your computer, let me suggest you to perform a clean boot. Please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key and search for System Configuration
• On the Services tab, select Hide all Microsoft services then click
  Disable all
• Go to Startup tab then click Open Task Manager
• In every Startup item, click Disable
• Close the Task Manager
• Click OK then restart your computer.
• After restart, go back to System configuration, Enable one or two startup item then restart. Do the procedure until you find the reason why your computer freezes
