Windows 10: Help! How do i change my touchpad gesture sensitivity

So I have been using my new ASUS gaming laptop (ASUS TUF FX505DT) for a couple of months, and I have really been enjoying the use of the touchpad, previously I was used to only mouse and keyboard because I used PC and not Laptop.

Anyway, so basically I set it up so that I can use 3 finger gestures to change the volume of my music as well as skip song. It is really great, and I use it all the time, the only issue is that the volume changing sensitivity is super high so it is hard to make fine tuned adjustments to volume, and sometimes I accidentally put my music on full volume which hurts my ears.

I searched online for some fixes, but couldn't find anything. Hopefully one of you have some sorta idea for how I can customize the gesture sensitivity

Hi Joobster,

When you mean Touchpad sensitivity, are you referring to the pointer speed of your touchpad? Or are you referring to the touch/pressure sensitivity of your touchpad whenever to press your fingers on your touchpad?

If you are referring to the pointer speed, you may follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
• Type "main.cpl" and hit enter.
• Click Pointer Options.
• Under Motion, select the pointer speed you wanted for your touchpad.

Regarding the Touch/pressure sensitivity, then you will need to contact your PC manufacturer to assist you on installing the right drivers for your touchpad.

My touchpad gestures have suddenly changed

The SFC scan found errors and fixed them succesfully. After a reboot the gestures worked again (3 up: task, 3 down: desktop). But, this is always the case when I reboot.

After entering into sleep mode, the gestures have changed again (3up: open search, 3 down: open settings app) even though the Dell touchpad settings lists the correct gestures.

I've already updated to the latest Dell BIOS, Video drivers and Touchpad drivers (Dell forums). The issues stays the same though. The touchpad gestures aren't working as they should after leaving sleep mode.

Can you help me out?
