Windows 10: Help! I am locked out of my surface data retrieval after imaging

I am vurently locked out of my Surface Pro 6, camera unavailable and PIN needs to be set up. I understand that I need to do a reimaging. However, there is a risk to losing that I need to do a Windows, is there any way for me to retrieve information right now so as to minimize the risk later?Please answer.

Retrieve Custom Windows 10 Lock Screen Image

I am trying to retrieve the current Lock Screen image of my Windows 10 Surface which is quickly dying.

The original file has been lost (only copy) and now the only one that remains is the one on the Surface lock screen.

I have tried going to the Assets folder as suggested, and even looking up the value of the LandscapeAssetPath registry key to locate the file, but the key is empty!!

Obviously it is still stored SOMEWHERE on the drive, just have no clue where to look.

Here is the solution, but it is imperative to proceed carefully.
There are also a couple of final steps that are missing and I had to think about it.

Retrieve Custom Windows 10 Lock Screen Image - Super User

This must be done as Administrator (True Administrator account) -

You must add "Administrator" to the additional fields not listed to get through the permission issues caused by NTFS.

There's quite a bit going on here, but the important item to understand is that for each "picture" folder, you need to add yourself as Administrator.
Just click on "Select a principal" and enter Administrator as the Object Name for each folder you wish to gain access to.

It seems like some sort of an OS confusion has happened with your secondary WD Black and I'm sorry to hear about that. *Frown
Maybe re-formatting it would help indeed as the community already mentioned. I'd suggest to take a look at this step-by-step how to partition and format an HDD: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=PYCoid
Keep in mind that this will wipe clean the drive, so you should backup all important data from the drive somewhere else.
I noticed from the screenshots that your HDD appears as Disk 0, this means that it's plugged in the primary SATA port where the SSD (as an OS drive) should be. Actually it is possible that because of this Windows cannot create the image there. Swap the ports of the SSD and the HDD, this might help as well.
