Windows 10: HELP! I can no longer access my Surface Pro 4. PIN option no longer available and Password...

My SP4 has worked flawlessly since 2016 until yesterday. I am no longer able to login to my computer using the PIN or Password, and have no other method to login.Something happened and your PIN isn't available. The username or password is incorrect.I forgot my password brings me back to the login screenSecond user account on this device has the same problem.Both user accounts work fine on other devices.

Pin is no longer available and there's no password option

I just set up a new Surface Laptop but my pin is "no longer available" and I don't have a prompt to put in my password instead. Is there a fix?

 

PIN option no longer accessible!

I used to be able to sign-in to windows using a 4 digit pin but cannot find that option any longer. I have to use my email password which is too long. I did a system update with my "bios" whatever that is and this option to unlock windows with a pin is
no longer there.

When i try to change my pin passwork in account setting it says unresolved.

 

Something Happened Pin not available. Password no longer recognised.

After setting up a pin, very next log in....message that "something happened and pin no longer available". Set up pin link non responsive. Then when entering password, the existing password is no longer recognised so can't access command prompt or sys reset. Please help!
