Windows 10: Help! I hate Windows 10!

Okay, maybe I don't actually hate it, but I'm definitely not happy with it. If this isn't the right sub for me to ask my questions, please point me in the right direction.

For the past five years or so, my only access to the internet was a Kindle Fire. It was okay, but a good friend bought me an HP Stream with Windows 10 for Christmas. I've used computers for over thirty years, but I've never been as frustrated as I am with this one. How do I know which programs I can safely remove? There are no introductions or instructions on these programs, and I don't even know what a lot of them are!

I'm an older woman, and I surf the web and play games, nothing else. I did disable (I think) the part where I can only get things from the Microsoft store. They don't have a lot of what I like.

So, can I delete 3D Viewer, Mixed Reality Portal, Paint 3D, Publisher, Snip & Sketch, Video Editor and the Xbox programs? I will never use any of these, and I'd like to just get rid of them.

Finally, what is the best browser to use instead of Microsoft Edge? I'm sick of that popping up every time I start my computer. I'm not searching for anything online, I just want to play my games! And I hate that that a third to a half of the screen is taken up by empty space, or empty space and banners when I do go online.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
