Help! I have problems with iCloud for Windows app!

Like I just uninstalled it and installed it again, as I was having problems with my photos shot thru my iPad, and they are not uploading to my PC anymore. But I noticed that when I uninstalled iCloud for Windows, the iCloud photos in the file manager is still there, no matter if I made a reset.

But I continued uninstalling anyway, and now when I reinstalled it, the recent photos have not been uploaded. So nothing happened. And when I would access the iCloud photos in task manager, it would just hang!

So what do I do? Uninstall it again? I didn't think it had a clean uninstallation, as the iCloud photo directory didn't disappear!

    :)

Windows and Icloud Mail etc: Failing to initialise

    Hi
    TomParkinson2
    ,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

    1. Are you aware of making any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
    2. Do you receive any error message when the spinner stops?

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1: Uninstall iCloud application.

I would suggest you to Sign out from the iCloud account from the app, then uninstall the application.

    1. Press Windows
and R key together on your Keyboard.
    2. Type appwiz.cpl and hit enter.
    3. Select the iCloud application and click on Uninstall.

    Method 2: Reinstall iCloud application.

    Step 1:

    I would suggest you toDownload
    the latest version of iCloud

from the apple website. Follow the Onscreen instructions and install the application. For more information, check the article on
Set up and use iCloud for Windows.

    Step 2:

Once the installation is completed, tap on the Windows key on your keyboard, search for ICloud app. Right click on the app and click on
    Pin to taskbar.

If you are using Surface PC, I would suggest you to follow steps mentioned in the Microsoft article about
    Using Surface with iPhone, iCloud,
    and iTunes.

    Hope it helps.

Let us know if you got the help you needed by clicking ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

  3. iCloud calendar will not show calendar and categories in Windows 10 mail app.

    Hello,

If it's a Calendar app, we suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps:

I suggest you to go through the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Login to your Apple ID and password.
    • Choose ‘Calendar‘, click on the ‘WiFi’-like Logo next to the calendar you want to see in Windows 10 calendar app.
    • Choose ‘Public Calendar‘ and send copy the link.
    • Next, login to your outlook.com account, go to ‘Calendar‘ in the PC website view, click on ‘Import‘, then on ‘Subscribe‘, choose a calendar name, paste the iCloud calendar link and click ‘Subscribe‘.
    • Now the iCloud calendar subscription is processing and after a short while you can see your iCloud calendar apps on outlook.com.
    • For checking correct syncing, go to the settings wheel on the right upper corner, click on ‘Options‘ and then on the name of the iCloud calendar subscription you gave in step 4. Under ‘Last Refresh‘, you can see
the refresh period and the number of correctly synced events.
    • Open Windows 10 calendar app. If you’ve already set up your outlook.com account, you will see the iCloud calendar subscription in ‘read-only’ mode.
Hope this helps, let us know the status of the issue.

    remove iCloud

Hi Phil, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.

To remove iCloud, you can follow the below steps:

    - Click Start and type "Apps & Features".

    - Select the first result.

    - In the list, find iCloud, then select it and choose Uninstall.

After it runs through the necessary steps, iCloud should be uninstalled. If it's not, please let me know and I'll provide additional options! Thanks!
