OneDrive for Business Icon Overlays in Windows Server 2016 Not Working

Thanks for your reply.

The issue may not be related with the Windows Server 2016.

Please check the workarounds in the article and I would suggest you first download the wizard and follow the steps to see the result.

How to remove/resize double arrow (blue box) overlay on file icons

Thank you for posting your posting your query on Microsoft Community.

Please reply: Are you using a third party antivirus software?



These icon overlays occur when you have a third party antivirus installed which created a backup, thus showing a checkmark or double arrow (blue box) overlay along with the icon. The icon displayed in the screenshot indicates that the file has been changed
by its last back.

Therefore, If you do not wish to see these overlays I would suggest you to go to the third party antivirus settings and
remove/uncheck Backup status indicators.

Icon overlays in Windows 10

Hi,

There are currently 15 slots allotted for icon overlays in the system image list of Windows 10. 4 of these are reserved for the system, and OneDrive uses 5, leaving six slots for use by other icon overlay handlers. If more than 15 icon overlays are registered
in the system, the extra icon overlays aren't used. This limit of 15 overlay icons applies to Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.
