Windows 10: Help installing Visual Studio 2015 Shell Isolated

I'm trying to install Microsfot Visual Studio 2015 Shell Isolate. I get an error indicating the computer needs to be restarted before the setup can continue. I reboot my computer and try to install again, but I get the same error. How to I fix this?

Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Shell (isolated)

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 12.0 is installed on my server which is Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. When I installed the management studio, it also got installed "Visual Studio 2010 Shell (Isolated)" at the same time, I believe.

Recently vulnerability scan give me new error that said the Visual Studio 2010 Shell must be upgraded to 10.0.40219.478, but I could not find where the patch is.

I have downloaded and patched from the following Microsoft site, but it did not upgrade the version.

(Correct) Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Shell

 

Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 x64 Installation Failure

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.
