Windows 10: [Help] Instant Windows Explorer Searching after Update?

Just been updated to 19041.450 and the Explorer searching experience is horrible when copying/pasting.

I use the search function a lot, to copy a term from a notepad, paste it into Explorer to search, and copy the folder it finds to a different location. I do this around 15 times a row etc.

Now after this update, it's brought a different look to the search field, which I don't mind. But the functionality has changed dramatically.

When I paste my search term, it no longer searches instantly and I have to press enter for it to actually make the search. Is there some setting to change to put it back to how it was?

Another issue is if I copy my search term and paste it into Explorer to search quickly, it'll sometimes paste a Square icon like the missing emoji symbol which seems to be a glitch

No Instant Search Result in File Explorer

When searching in file explore search results are displayed right below the search bar in a list, but only when you hit Enter, the complete result is displayed.

How do i restore it so i have Instant Search Results.

Thank you for the detailed response. To change the search result's view from content to list, we suggest following the steps below:

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.
