    why when i try to run the hyper-v manger and create a virtual machine it says i Dont have the resource and i may have deleted it. What do i do

    Hello! I am an Independent Advisor, I would love to help you out!

    Hyper-V only comes with Windows 10 Pro or higher editions.

    What edition of Windows do you have installed currently? If you do not have Windows pro then you would need to upgrade to get Hyper-V.

    However, there are some applications you can run that are similar that you do not need windows pro for but they are not Microsoft products. This would be oracle VirtualBox or VMWare player free. They don't work exactly the same as hyper-v but they allow you
    to run virtual machines.

    Hyper-V

    Only Pro or Enterprise versions can run Hyper-V, in addition to the other requirements listed at the link I provided earlier.

    Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro with Hyper V

    Hi

    I am currently running Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit with Hyper V enabled as I need the virtual machine for my work. I would like to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro 64bit and understand that Hyper V comes with 10 Pro which is great, but I am concerned that my current
    settings will be lost duting the upgrade.

    My question is.... can I upgrade without losing any of my existing Hyper V and VM settings?

    Any help would be much appreciated.
