Windows 10: Help me fix System Interrupts process problem

This system interrupt process is bugging since yesterday. This started November 11 when I accidently played more than 50 music videos at once using VLC media player in my 4gb RAM laptop, making my screen and touchpad unresponsive, which made me force to shutdown the laptop by holding the power button for more than 5 seconds. After that, I turn back on the laptop and everything was the same except for the delay and laggy startup which took for almost 2 minutes. Confused, I immediately opened the task manager and noticed this new process called "System interrupts" which was a new to me. I search

I once looked into this subject briefly [my problem sorted itself out for reasons I did not understand].

These discussions helped me understand what was happening. From these discussions, I understood it to be a hardware driver problem.

System Interrupt Process Using 25-50% of CPU

So I was having poor framerates when playing L4D2 today so when I was done I decided to try to figure out why. Apparently "System Interrupt Process" is constant using a high percentage of my CPU even when nothing is going on. I can't really find any good resolutions from google does anyone have any suggestions?

Windows 7 x64.

computer system Interrupts are necessary -- for example it's a bit like in the real world: Say you are watching TV and the phone rings -- you can then put TV on Pause while you answer the phone and then resume the TV program after you've dealt with the phone call.

Computers use a similar mechanism -- for example if the computer wants input (keyboard etc) it will suspend processes when it gets a notification from the keyboard -- it will process that and continue. Of course keyboard input is about a zillion times slower than other processes but it has a high priority so will in general be serviced first.
