Windows 10: Help me make Windows 10 faster

So, my windows 10 is somewhat slow, not something unusable, just slow compared the performance that my hardware would have, but the thing is that I have some suspicions that my HD is the main issue, it's a slow HD, I don't know the exact model but it is the default one from the Dell G3 15 3590, do you guys have any hints on what I could do to help? I can't buy a SSD or a new HD right now so please don't say the buy a SSD thing.

Some things that I notice that are slower are:

• VMs are slower then they have, probably because of the disk IO
• Powershell sometimes takes too long to run commands
• Sometimes it's slow to open development things like Netbeans or VSCode

My Hardware is:

Notebook Dell G3 15 3590

CPU: Intel I5 9300H

Integrated GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630

Dedicated GPU: GeForce GTX 1050

RAM: 8GB

Windows 10 home 20H2 19042.870 x64 bits

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
