Windows 10: HELP ME my touchpad double click is not working after updating to windows 11 24h2

HELP ME i updated my dell laptop to 24h2 but after updating my touchpad double click is not working i mean previously whenever i had to click 2 times now i have to click 3 times or right touch pad button i tried to uninstall driver and reinstalled my windows 24h2 what to do

Double click on touchpad and mouse not working

2 or 3 days ago double click to open files and quit working w/the mouse and the touchpad.

I see no settings describing double clicking in for the mouse or touchpad. I have gone to the device manager and looked for mouse driver updates - there are none. I do not see the touchpad listed in device manager.

I am using an ASUS FX504 i5 8th gen.

I appreciate any help.

Method 1: I would suggest you to run “Hardware and Devices” troubleshooter to diagnose the exact issue.

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

  Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.
  
• 
  Select “Hardware and Sound” from the Troubleshooter Window.
  
• 
  Select “Hardware and Devices” under Devices option.

Method 2: Update
the latest touchpad drivers and check if that helps:

  Press “Windows Key + X” from the keyboard.

  Type “device Manager” without quotes in the search box and hit enter.
