Windows 10: Help me understand this garbage app

I cannot stand OneDrive. I have a very basic understanding of how it works. I know that files on OneDrive are the originals, and that local files on my computer are copies, and if I delete them from my OneDrive, they will be deleted from my computer as well. I'm pretty sure I successfully stopped the sync years ago, but I want to know how to get all the original files already in OneDrive back on my computer so I have the originals and don't need to worry about OneDrive storage space. My storage on OneDrive is like 642% full and it has threatened to start deleting my files by February if I don'

Help Me Understand What I'm Doing Wrong

I may be missing something, but I think what's being suggested is you use the arrow to choose another different method other then 'phone number' such as email or an authentication app, whatever's on the drop down list that's not a phone number.

As of now, I would suggest that you run the inbuilt Windows App Troubleshooter and check. To do so follow the steps mentioned below:

  On the search bar, type “Troubleshoot”
  and press Enter.

  Then click on the “View All” option located on the left menu pane.
  
• 
  Then locate “Windows Store App”, click on it and run the troubleshooter.
