Windows 10: HELP!!! My Keyboard Driver is Missing !!!

Hello, so I had this problem for a while now where my built-in keyboard laptop suddenly stops working. I've been using external USB keyboard since then. I tried looking for solutions online but none of it seems to be working. Also, I found out that there are others with the same exact problem as well link attached... so I'm guessing it's a common problem? I am using ASUS ROG GL553VD, and I've attached my Laptop specs in a pic below.


Basically, every key other than the 'on/off power button' doesnt work. The LED Backlight also died except for the on/off. What I noticed is that I can't find the laptops' keyboard driver on Device Manager pic below. The External keyboard shows up fine. I'm pretty sure it's all because of the driver is missing, so I searched 'Standard PS/2 Keyboard Driver Download' on Google but none of the sites seem to be from Microsoft official websites. Any advice would be great, Thanks!

Keyboard problem in Windows 10

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.

Mouse/touch pad and keyboard wakes laptop up and power management tab missing?

As per the description, I understand that you are trying to disable keyboard and touchpad to wake the computer from sleep.

As you are missing the Power Management tab in driver properties, I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and update the keyboard and touchpad drivers.

To update keyboard drivers,

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager from the list.
• Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
• Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

To update touchpad drivers,

• Type Device Manager in the Search box and press Enter.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right Click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

Keyboard and Mouse Drivers fail to install

Hi,

For us to properly isolate the issue with your keyboard and mouse drivers, we would like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g. updates, software installation)?
• What is the exact error message?
• When did the issue first begin?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Have you checked in safe mode if it's the same?
• Have you tried downloading the latest driver for your mouse and keyboard? If not, we suggest that you check the manufacturer's website for the latest driver.
