Help, my main labtop screen has died. How can I recover items on my hard drive using a male to male USB cable and my new laptop? Using windows 10 and 11.

Hard drive died with Windows 10 on it.

My hard drive was on a decline for about a year, so one day it died. I cannot boot it at all and no recovery options make it past an error screen. Ive researched the error and determined my hard drive was dead. Ive now bought a new storage device and was
wondering if there is any way for me to recover my version of Windows 10, or if its one Windows key per device.

 

my Lenovo labtop hard drive is crashed

Hi

As am using Lenovo Labtop with windows 8.1 operating system which has come with my labtop when I have purchase.

then I upgarde to windows 10 Operating system last year 2015 it was working fine, now my Lenovo Labtop hard drive has crashed.

Can I get windows 10 back, let me know what I should do whether I should purchase new windows 10.

 

Help with external hard drive

I appreciate your interest in windows 10 and also for trying the troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. I understand the inconvenience you faced. I will certainly help you with this.

I would suggest you to plug in hard drive then check in disk management you can see the drive or not.

Follow the steps to check Drive in Disk Management.

• 
  Go to the Control Panel then click on the
  Administrative Tools. .
  
• 
  Under the Administrative Tool Click on Computer Management.
  
• 
  Click on Disk Management and check the External Hard Drive.
  

Also check in BIOS whether External Hard Drive is listed or not.

For help with the BIOS settings, refer to the computer manual or contact the manufacturer.

If it doesn’t work then, I would suggest you to update BIOS for updating BIOS contact Lenovo Support.
