Windows 10: [HELP] Nvidia GT630m problem

Hello all,
My gt630m has a problem(probaly bios problem) in windows 10.
Its show code 43 in device manager, but i can install drivers. But after, nvidia pannel control not open and give a error.
Here is a gpu-z print.



Anyone know the problem? And someone has a bios for this card?

Problems with graphic card after windows 10

Hey,

After I upgraded to windows 10 I noticed that the display adapter shown in dxdiag.exe is the intel hd graphics and not the nvidia gpu card and I have directx 11.2 .

After doing the system updates which included the driver fo my graphic card (Nvidia gt630m) I restarted my laptop and no change I tried to uninstall the driver via guru 3d in safe mode and reinstalling it bu didn't work.

I also tried resetting my laptop and installing the latest driver from nvidia website but didn't work neither.

What should I do I need help.

Follow this guide UNLESS it it a .exe file that you run to update BIOS on GPU: How to flash your GPU Bios using nvflash? - Graphics Cards

(Or just google your particular graphics card on how to flash BIOS)

After BIOS is flashed and verified in GPU-Z, use DDU to uninstall drivers: Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 17.0.5.0

(Use safemode setting in DDU, and the uninstall and reboot setting)

Then dowload the latest drivers for your GPU, install, reboot, and hopefully your good to go! *Wink

 

Thanks for reply MasterChief8810, but i tried to find the model of my vga in this site, but not find any model for gt630m, only 630. It`s segur to flash any version of desktop card?

According to your specs it's a Laptop, don't try and install any video card BIOS. There won't be an updated one anyway.

Download some of the older Nvidia drivers, go back maybe 6 months or so. Potentially around 8 Drivers or so.

Uninstall the current Driver which I think is the latest one, and then install one of the older drivers. You must have been using one.

When you find a good driver note it and stick with it, it is not necessary to keep updating Video card drivers.

I have been using Nvidia video cards and drivers for 15 years probably only a week on 'latest drivers'. You are essentially a monthly beta tester keep installing the latest, Nvidia do remove some from their archived/old driver list, notably bad ones.

Well, what Helmut said is probably a good idea. Although I don't agree with him that having the newest drivers installed is not necessary. This is usually necessary for best performance if you are gaming, in general. But with your card I'm guessing Battlefield 1 on ultra is a long shot, and you'll probably be good if you choose an older driver.

You should visit Samsung's site and look for a firmware/BIOS update there. Although it is the same that you currently have, re flashing it or re installing it may help. Be sure to choose the exact right model. If you don't know, press start and then type "dxdiag" and hit enter. Your computer name and model will appear here.

EDIT: The BIOS I'm referring to is not GPU BIOS. But BIOS for the motherboard itself. But I can be worth trying out. But: You do this update at your own risks!

EDIT: And to answer your question: do not, ever, flash a desktop GPU based BIOS on an "M" (laptop) card

That would probably brick your GPU.

Not true. On a relatively old Graphics chipset new drivers are actually marginally slower. The tweaks are only for the latest graphics chipset features and games.

It is what is a reliable and good driver that matters for more modest users on older cards and games.

The newest drivers are for those with expensive latest Graphics chipsets/cards Desktop PCs and latest games.

Do your own tests, you will find that this is true.

As far as BIOS goes it does not matter, the OP won't get a Laptop MOBO BIOS update either. Those tend to finish 1-2 years after the manufacturing date of a PC/Laptop.

It still applies for older graphics cards. For example a GTX 660/670/680 will still benefit having the newest drivers for playing the newest games. Don't have any sources right now. But this is kinda off topic.

But if installing older drivers (which should be done using DDU to delete current drivers) doesn't work, I would have thought a BIOS reflash could fix the problem?
