Windows 10: Help or advice requested for moving files & all settings from an old W10s machine to new ones

Good evening all,Our office is running a simple P2P network for our business software and we have it set up as a master / slave setup for this purpose. Other than O365 on both machines this is pretty much where the similarities end as the 'slave' for the business software is running the standalone design / web software.Our old machines are now pretty prehistoric so we've got two new ones with W10 x64 on SSDs.I've used Transwiz to transfer the user accounts to the first machine master business software base but have come up against problems installing MS SQL server 2014 that we need to run th

Moving files from old 7 machine to new Windows 10 machine

How do I move all of my files from an old Windows 7 machine to a new windows 10, and can I also do the programs? I use carbonite as a backup for my Data files.

It is possible to move your hard disk from your old machine to your new machine if it is identical or has the same make and model, and operating system; however, there is no guarantee that you will not encounter any issues. To make sure, we suggest that
you uninstall all drivers from your old machine before transferring it to the new one.

How to restore W10 backup from old machine to a new machine

Do you have a screen shot of Disk Management from the OLD system?
Or even better, a screenshot of a program like Minitool Partition Wizard (free), of the OLD system?

In the BIOS of the NEW motherboard, try setting CSM to disabled (blue) and seeing if the Windows 10, boots.
If it doesn't... try setting CSM to enabled (RED), and seeing if Windows 10 boots.

IF there are no problems with the boot files of the Windows 10 backup (that you restored to the NEW computer), it should boot under one or the other settings.










As for the "Boot Options Priorities" it should be set so that whichever drive you restored Windows 10 to, is the 1st on the list.
