  1. Help! Pc won't boot

To tell this in short, A month ago I built my new pc,
    i7 6700k
    Corsair hydro h80i
    16gb ddr4
    Asus maximus viii hero
    250gb samsung evo ssd
    2tb samsung spinpoint

I never had any issue using my pc till tuesday, as I was playing a game, everything was running fine as ever, and on mondaynight I shut down my pc as I always do, tuesdaynight I came back from work, powered on my pc, no problems, started a game, BSOD.. Clockwork timeout error.. Restarted, after logging in bsod, safe mode was fine so I started deleting some latest programs updating drivers including Windows.. Restarted, logged in BSOD, did this a couple of times and always a diffrent error, I got so upset I just wanted to restart clean so I used reset my pc option.. During the reset BSOD!! Now when I restart I get, no operating device was found etc.. Now when I use my flash drive to install Windows 10 which works properly as I have used it more than once, I enter the boot, order restart, windows logo comes up with the rotating loading thing.. BSOD.. Ubuntu won't install either.. My ram shows up in my bios, I took out both cpu and cooler and reinstalled.. I switched ram slots, I tried one ram at a time.. Still the same issue comes up..
I'm quite desperate because it was over 2000 and I really can't afford that it's broken atm

    :)

  3. Boot failure

    Hi,

Recently I checked the maximum memory box in the advanced boot option in the msconfig dialog box. It requested for restarting the pc. After restarting, pc won't boot up. I tried the system restore option and safemode but nothing is working. Help me to solve the problem

How to restore the boot settings in Windows 10?

    Help! Pc won't boot

Hello and welcome to the TenForums *Smile

Obviously this is not a w10 issue but hopefully you will get some good pointers to solve the problem.

Like you I suspected RAM but you seem to have ruled that out - however, I would run a Memtest86+ scan of both sticks just to be sure.

Have you tried resetting the BIOS to defaults just in case there is an error in one of the settings?

Can you run the PC in the BIOS setup mode and monitor temperatures + voltages to see if they are correct. Is your power supply adequate?

Do you use a graphics card or have you tried different connections (HDMI or DVI or display ports etc.).

Have you tried removing everything attached to the PC apart from the mouse and keyboard and monitor?

Hope these suggestions will help with the troubleshooting.

    You mean CLOCL_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT?

You said you can boot into the BIOS. Get into it. Set it to defaults. Check if all the disks are detected there. If not, unplug the SATA cables and plug back.

Set the RAM to 2133MHz, not any more. Set the CPU to default clocks. Remove the graphics card and apply the display cable to the motherboards end. The processor and the motherboard says ....

If CSM is enabled, disable it and let the BIOS use the UEFI features.

Now run the windows installer from boot, let it format the disk and install windows. Does it work?

If yes, fine. Add the graphics card back.

If not, test your RAM modules for possible errors.MemTest86+ - Test RAM Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.
Take a camera snap of the memtest86+ window before closing the program. Let us see it.

    So update..
My bios was apparently not the latest version, updated this woth however no effect to the problem, as I am sure one RAM is broken I have to memtest the other, the other one no longer shows up in bios and gives code 41 error on maximus hero, the other one I'll have to see in memtest,
    As Arc suggested..
I only get display with gpu but not onboard graphics.. Faulty motherboard?

A RAM is not being detected. The integrated graphics is not working.

The board seems to be faulty (or the processor; as memory controller and graphics is integrated to the CPU itself).
Can you RMA the hardware components?

  10. I think I can RMA the mobo but nit the cpu.. Maybe I'll just wait the result of memtest and try new ram first before heading that path

  11. So! Wanted to give you guys an update!! Since I never give I was thinking about Arc's solution and figured maybe my monitor was too old for my mobo, so I plugged in my pc in my tv without graphics card and csm disabled and it worked!! However the BSOD persists but I figure that this outcome points me directly to RAM.. No?

Good to know that the PC boots now. First step is done.

Now let us concentrate on the BSODs.
Post a log following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions in your reply post.

Sorry, I may have misinformed you what I meant with working I meant the integrated graphics work the pc still gets bsod right before installing os

OK, I think you need to test the RAM again. One stick was bad, is the other OK or do you have some new RAM you can try?

    I misunderstood this part.
