Windows 10: Help prevent WU from erasing custom Realtek Audio EQ Presets

(Windows Version 20H2) 64-bit Hello, If anyone can offer me some guidance, I'd like to find a way to save my custom EQ presets from being purged after a Windows Update. It becomes extremely annoying having to manually tinker with the interface/manager as it's near-impossible to remember the exact preset changes I've made. Here's a screenshot to help visualize the problem. I'm hoping there's a specific file hidden away somewhere in a folder that I can backup, and then re-add (paste) it back in later after the update's finished.

Yes... however the issue isn't that I can't name and "save" the setting inside the audio manager - it's that WU itself actually purges these "saved" presets and resets everything. All of the custom options from drop down menu that I create are gone.

So, is it correct to say that the saved custom EQ settings are tied directly to the driver version. Once updated, the settings will reset and you're forced to start over.

If this is true, that means the save feature inside Realtek Audio manager sucks and is totally pointless. Surely the user shouldn't have to avoid an update (or carry on using an outdated version) just to keep their customized preferences. A transfer solution must be found or made.

Where does the driver keep the default list? ie. Rock, Concert, Jazz etc. Is it built into the manager exe or is there a directory file somewhere?

It means that your 2016 Realtek driver (when Windows 10 was in its infancy) no longer really works in a 2021 OS.

Your 2016 Realtek Windows 10 driver would work as expected in a 2016 Windows 10 OS. Then Microsoft spent the last 5 years moving stuff around the OS and now the best you can hope for is your computer getting any sound at all and the microphone still works. Anything above that is pure gravy.
