Help Raw drive, can't format, Device I/O error.

I couldn't get into windows anymore using the m.2 ssd, so I reinstalled the OS on my hdd but when I went to check my ssd drive i cant format it or clean it because it would say I/O error, then became RAW. In a moment of absolute desperation I used the disk part command which make matters worst because it freezes or stuck and wont let me use list disk, used the chkdsk command but it didn't work. SO PLEASE HELP ME I NEED HELP

    :)

  2. Can't format a RAW drive to NTFS

I recently received a new SSD and installed it into my system. I tried to format it into NTFS, which turned into the RAW format. When I try to reformat the drive in the Disk Management tool it says," The format did not complete successfully." I looked up some tutorials on this and it sent me to CMD. I ran as administrator and typed

    Diskpart

    list disk

    select x disk

    list volume

    select x volume

    format fs=ntfs

then it tells me "A Device Which Does Not Exist Was Specified"

I can't format the drive to NTFS I'm really confused, I have never had this happen before. any help would be appreciated

  3. Raw drive, can't format, can't recover files, can't backup, Device I/O error.

    Hey there fellas,

After a week of dealing with this problem and only finding walls and frustration I came accross the holy answer after someone sugested ubuntu, so for whatever gay reason you can fix a raw drive by changing the drive letter through cmd and then using cmd
command /FS :NTFS to convert from raw to ntfs, all my data still there, turns out that device i/o error can be caused by the
SATA cable, now I can finally sleep.

    Thanks and goodbye.

Help Raw drive, can't format, Device I/O error.

Save RAW drive - Don't want data

Open Admin command prompt, then type:
    1. diskpart
    2. list disk ======> Take note of disk # of the RAW drive
    3. select disk # ======> is the number in step 2
    4. clean
    5. exit
Open Disk Management and initialize it, Create Simple, format.
