    Help Removing Backup and Sync Files from ONLINE only!


    I am on Windows 10 Pro 1909 but that should not matter. Here is our problem.

    When my wife upgraded from Google Drive to Backup and Sync, she did not see the options to specify what to sync. So, you guessed it, it started uploading EVERYTHING on the desktop and sub folders! She did finally stop it and there is about 12GB up there!
    So here is the issue. We want to keep EVERYTHING on her PC, but want to remove ONLY the files, etc from the ONLINE copy only! She is afraid that if she removes what is online, it will also remove it from the PC if it goes to Sync again!

    Does anyone know what she can now do to get things back to NORMAL? She had very little on Google Drive before the update to Backup and Sync and just wants to get back to normal.

    Remove account

    I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
    To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

    Hello,
    I am having trouble logging in Google Backup and Sync on one particular Windows 10 PC in my house.
    It started around the April updates.
    All my other PCs could log in to Backup and Sync without problem, but my main PC cannot.
    I tried many methods (registry cleanup, firewall, antivirus, etc.) and even using the ISO to reinstall Windows 10 (still keeping my apps and files) but I still get an "Error Something went wrong. Your account might not have been added" message when I tried to log in on the first step for Backup and Sync after reinstalling the software. When tried to log in with a browser, after all the steps the browser got stuck on a blank page without anyway to proceed.
    I sought support from the Google Drive forum, but the suggestions they gave still did not solve my problem, and then they just gave up. I wonder if anyone here could help me?

    Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?
