Windows 10: Help removing drive from storage space

i've tried multiple thing but i cannot get a bad drive to remove from pool its has 0.01% left on it I'm ok losing that data



When trying to remove via the GUI

Listing says preparing to remove

has been trying to re balance for over a week and wont end

what happens when i try and run the remove command via power shell

How to remove a bad drive in Windows 10 storage spaces pool

Could someone list the steps involved in replacing a bad drive from a Windows 10 storage spaces pool? I cannot find any info on the Microsoft support site that is specific to Windows 10. Also, could you list the steps to remove a 'good' drive and replace
it with another drive if the process is different?

 

Cannot remove a "Retired" drive in Windows 10 Storage Spaces

Storage Spaces Drive Removal Error

Hello,

I have been having issues with my storage space for the last 2 weeks. After getting some new drives and moving tons of data around I thought it had fixed the problem.

Unfortunately it was not completely fixed and now I have a 2tb drive that is retired but cannot be removed. It says that not all data could be reallocated, but the storage space is a 2-way mirror, so it shouldn't matter.

I tried removing it with powershell, but that failed too.

I really need help, thanks for any suggestions.
