Windows 10: Help requested. Computer crashing while playing game. BSOD

Recently, past week or two I have been occasionally getting a BSOD while playing CSGO.


One time only CSGO crashed, and maybe about 6 or 7 times my whole computer has crashed.


I believe it may be hardware but not 100%.


I unplugged all cables/devices inside my computer graphics card, motherboard powers, ssd, ram and plugged them back in.I also redownloaded the latest drivers for my Video Card.The problem still persists.


Sometimes it happens within 5 minutes of opening a game, sometimes 3 hours.


There has been no recent hardware changes, and my computer was running fine for a year plus before this.

BSOD When playing games

Please share the information requested below:

• Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
• Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

BSOD on new computer while gaming

I just got a new computer about a month ago. Everything is new and I get BSOD (windows 10) while gaming mostly although it sometimes happens while I'm just using the computer. Sometimes the computer doesn't BSOD and just gives me a Access Violation Error. Not sure if related.

Steps I have taken:

• Updated all drivers and bios to latest versions

• Checked ram with windows memory test to see if ram is faulty. (A stick was and it was removed waiting for replacement)

• Clean Installed Windows after finding faulty ram

• I had 2 x 2080Ti installed, I removed one, tested and then swapped cards; issue still exist

 

BSOD while playing games

Follow the instructions to run driver verifier again from BSOD while playing games, but now use these settings instead.

• Force IRQL checking
• Pool Tracking
• Security Checks
• Miscellaneous Checks
• Power framework delay fuzzing
• DDI compliance checking
• I/O verification
