Windows 10: Help required for updating windows

Hi, I am trying to update my pc to the latest patches but it seems that I can't update it. I haven't been updating my pc since February 2021, and now when I try to install new updates, I get an error with error code 0x800703f1. I tried doing sfc /scannow but it does not start the scan, I don't know why. It says "windows resource protection could not perform thr requested operation". I tried downloading the update files from Microsoft's website, but the standalone installer can't install the updates either. Since the past month whenever I started my pc I used to execute the "net stop wuauserv" command because windows updates used up lot of my data, I think doing this may have caused the problem. Is there any way of fixing this without a complete reinstall? I will have to copy a lot of data if that's the case. My last successful feature update was version 20H2 on 6th December 2020 and last sucessful quality update was KB4023057 and was installed on 22nd February 2021. I am trying to install KB4023057 and KB5000802

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
