  1. Help stop color shifting depending on what is currently displayed

Hello, I have a problem and I already try to google it but I can't find the solution to my problem yet. So I just got a used monitor, and the weird thing is the color keep shifting. If I am opening a word document the white will be cool white. But if I'm opening a mostly dark web pages the white will be really warm white. The color shift changing is not subtle and it's bothering me so much. Any idea how to fix this color shift?

I use Windows 10 version 2004, a LG 22EA63 monitor and connected to Acer Nitro 5 via HDMI.

    Many thanks!

Color tones or white balance keeps changing depending on what is being displayed on the screen

    Hi

I have a problem with my screen: color tones are off, being shifted towards yellow. Strangely, the extent of the shift depends on the overall brightness of what is being display. For example, this browser page is very white, so the shift towards yellow is
very strong (it does not only affect the browser, as the search prompt of the task bar is also very yellow). However, if I overlay Spotify (black) on half the screen, then the color of what was yellow (browser or search prompt) turns whiter. Yet, you cqn still
see it is yellowish, even in Spotify. If I put spotify full screen, the shift towards yellow is almost completely gone. So it seems that for some reason the display constantly adapts the color tone or the white balance depending on the overall luminosity or
colors being displayed. I updated my graphic card drivers (Geforce GT640) and my Screen (Asus PB238), without success. I didn't find help anywhere online, as the problem is not straightforwardly explainable. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

Screen color shifts to red after login, even with night shift off

    Basically, problem is:

    1. Screen display is neutral pre-login
    2. Login and after 15-30 seconds, screen shifts to red, like night light is on
    3. night light is off in the settings, turning it on can make it even more red
    4. turning night light off again removes the extra color temp but not getting rid of it all the way

I've followed a number of posts on this issue, updating windows, turning off night shift, turning back on, checking that no monitor color profiles are turned on, etc. What I have found after experimentation though is that creating a new user on the computer
and loging in as that user does not show the red shift problem, which points to something in my profile.

What I can't figure out is what is that something?

Does anyone have suggestions on fixing a broken profile or resetting the setting that controls this?

    Thanks!

Reference Post, which was a different problem, but where the 'new user' suggestion was given:

how to fiix my display colors

    Hi Farbod,

We have different options to personalize your PC depending on your choice. To set your PC's display color back to default, you can follow the steps below:

    • Type calibrate display color in the Search fieldlocated at the taskbar.
    • Enter your admin username and password in the User Account Control.
    • Click Yes then access the settings to calibrate your PC's display colors.

If that does not work for you, you can also try to go to Color Settings. You can choose
Default blue as the Windows color.

Let us know should you need additional assistance.
