    HELP! System lags and nearly crashes when doing literally nothing


    If i switch between programmes, open apps/programmes my pc lags and its like im moving my mouse at 2FPS this happens with nothing open, while in a game, while watching netflix, any activity everything lags, games drop to 0 fps videos im watching lag/crash. this hahs only just recently started happening and the only thing i have installed recently is Razer Synapse, which I have since removed just incase. Even just opening the start menu it lags and drops to 2fps it feels like and then after about a minute it stops. While this happens my CPU, GPU, Memory etc are all normal not spiking, cpu sitti

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    Hi,

    We would like to know more about your lag issue:

    • What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
    • Does the lag occur in a particular game?

    In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Control Panel.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • On the left pane, click on View All.
    • Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.
