Windows 10: HELP: THREAT DETECTED: Behavior:Win32/Rugmigen.B

Hello Everyone,I have been receiving alert notification "Threat Blocked" continuously since yesterday 18th Mar 2025. The notification pops up repeatedly in an interval of almost 4-5 minutes.The details is as shown in the attached pic.How severe could it be? What could be the solution? Am I in danger of losing my data? I had been a victim of Ransomware 5/6 years back, when I lost all my data and I Had to completely format my PC all drives.I even tried restoring the PC to 12th March 2025. But this problem persists.Thank you in advance.

How to remove Worm: Win32 kilim/b? without buying some tool.

I can't open my pc's folders. This error is displayed when I try to open them: "Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software"'.

Windows defender detects this threat: Worm: Win32 kilim/b

 

Threat detection Options confusion

Hello,

I had a virus on my PC and windows defender quarantined it.

But I clicked on the “Action” button and has three options: Removes , Restore , and Allow

I clicked on Remove, but the threat status changed to: “threat removed or restored “

Which is confusing.

I then clicked again on the “Action” button and only 1 option appeared which is “ Allowed” I mistakenly Clicked on. But then I removed it from the “ allow history “

So my question:

• does allowing a “ removed or restored” threat means releasing it again in the PC or it means only allowing the future similar threat?

Because I run a scan after i removed it from allow history and nothing is detected.

I’m very confused. I would appreciate help.

Threats detected by Windows Defender

If you really want to be sure if those threats are removed completely then I would suggest to clean install Windows. That’s the only way to know for sure. And always disconnect from the internet next time you encounter malware. That’s the first step to take, especially if you have more than one computer sharing the same network.
