Windows 10: Help to stop bluetooth service

Hi so I read somewhere that to stop the bluetooth service via PS the command is the following: sc stop "bthserv" but when I do that I have the following output: [SC] ControlService FAILED 1051

A stop control has been sent to a service that other running services are dependent on.

Bluetooth Services

I've been using the audio gateway on my phone for a while, but when I actually looked through the list of services it does provide, I found it to be quite large. For some reason, my computer doesn't support many of these, such as remote control etc.

I'm pretty sure it has more or less to do with my bluetooth adapter, because it gives me only a small list of the total services it can accept. Anybody have any idea how I can add more?

I suggest you to stop the Bluetooth service and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below.

• Press Windows key + R
• Type services.msc and press
  Ok
• Find Bluetooth Support Service
• Right click on the service and click on
  Stop.

Bluetooth won't toggle off and my pc doesn't have bluetooth feature.

Thank you for providing us with more information. I suggest you to check the below settings and check if it helps:

Step 1: Check if you have Bluetooth drivers listed in the Device Manager.

1. Right click on the Start button and select Device Manager.

2. Check if the Bluetooth driver is listed.

3. If yes then right click on the Bluetooth device and select update drivers.

Step 2: Check for the Bluetooth service

I would you check if Bluetooth Support service is started.

• Press Windows key + R
• Type services.msc and press
  Ok
• Find Bluetooth Support Service
  and double click on it.
• Stop it and set it as
  disable.
