    Help troubleshooting boot issues after installing new motherboard and CPU


    Hi, today I've installed a new mobo, CPU and CPU cooler to my PC, and after connecting everything up and attempting to boot the PC, I haven't been able to successfully boot past BIOS. The mobo speaker beeps once during startup and on one occasion beeped 1 long 3 short and is an AMI BIOS, so my limited understanding is that it's telling me there's a memory error of some kind. After passing POST the computer blue-screens, displaying "Inaccessible Boot Device" error, which I understand as an issue with the storage drive Windows is installed to. It then restarts the PC straight to the repairs sc

    SSD won't boot on new motherboard

    Hi all,

    I am trying to boot on a new motherboard/cpu from an old MBR-partitioned SSD with Windows 10 on it (CPU I9 Motherboard Biostar H310M). The SSD used to work just fine on my previous motherboard. My new motherboard is configured for both UEFI & Legacy boot. Weirdly enough, the SSD is only recognized on SATA 3 or 4, not on SATA 1 or 2. I have not done any bootsect repair yet.

    PC wont boot up (No POST, No Video)

    I recently installed a new Asus M5A99X Evo r2.0. The motherboard green LED lights up and the case and cpu fans spin. But there is no video when its hooked up to my monitor.

    Steps that i have tried:
    "No POST", "system won't boot", and "no video output" troubleshooting checklist

    Made sure all connections are properly connected.

    Flashing the CMOS

    Tested the PSU

    Followed all steps in the user manual

    If there are any links that you guys can point me to or suggestions that could help it would be highly appreciated. Thank you

    Hi:

    If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):
