Windows 10: Help updating to Windows 10 1903 (mainly so I can play Astroneer.)

Hi, Im stuck on 1803 (17134.984) and I cannot update to 1903. I have the message telling me "my device isnt quite ready for it" (it would be nice to know why, but the problem is I cannot play a specific game on the microsoft store, Astroneer, until I update to 1903. To add insult to injury this is apparently a completely arbitrary restriction as there is no such limitation on Steam.


As such, my question is twofold-

Firstly, is there some way to force the Microsoft store to download Astroneer so I can just play it anyway (currently it gives me a prohibited symbol when i try to click on it and the button becomes non functional).


Secondly, if that is not possible, can I figure out why I cannot update windows and find a way to fix it?


I have tried using windows update but it wouldn't offer it. I have tried the update assistant but it would abort the update and undo changes. I have tried creating an ISO with the media creation tool with the same results. After doing this windows update started to offer me the update but would fail the same way (although for some reason now it has given up offering it to me).


All of this is particularly frustrating as my and my friends all purchased the windows xbox game pass so we could play, but I now cannot join them.

Astroneer Windows 10

I have Astroneer on the windows store and the last time I played it, it worked. If I try to play it now I get a notification saying ASTRONEER is currently not available in your account. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001. My computer
is updated to the latest version of windows. Please help.

The error code you received has something to do with the digital rights of the game. This could be a problem with the license or with the account itself. For us to resolve this concern, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

Step 1: Sign out all the accounts signed in on your PC.

This is to make sure that all changes will take effect on the account once you sign in.

Step 2: Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps.

Step 3: Reset the Windows Store to clear the Store cache.

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.

Bought Astroneer but can't install it.

I have updated to the latest version of Windows 10 and Astroneer appears to be installing. Thanks for your help : )
