    Help Upgrading from 1709 (PRO) to 1909 - Multiple Failures


    I have a laptop and have checked and confirmed physical configurations and drivers for fitness. I have tried multiple online attempts to upgrade with no success, always fails on the installation about the third reboot and about 48% in. I downloaded the upgrade manager and 1909 as well, and that has failed multiple times, same place, but the errors I got were:

    0xC1900101 - 0x30018

    The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP_SPECIALIZE operation

    inspecting the log I got multiple errors (not warnings):

    The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

    {6B3B8D23-FA8D-40B9-8DBD-B950333E2C52}

    and APPID

    {4839DDB7-58C2-48F5-8283-E1D1807D0D7D}

    to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

    I did find the APPID and update the permissions for it and LocalHost to RemoteSigned. I haven't rerun yet. It is a 10016 Event ID as well.

    Does anyone have any experience with this or recommendations to get around this error? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Working on upgrading Windows 10 1709 to 1909. Need to know on different methods or ways of Upgrading it and how SCCM CB 1910 can be used for up-gradation.

    Recently we have migrated Win7 to Windows 10 1709 by following traditional method (swapping of device).

    Please advice on different methodology and ways of upgrading Windows 10 from 1709 to 1909, Best Practice etc
