So, whenever I'm scrolling through a site, any site, sometimes the text on the chrome tabs will "blur" or become darker then back to normal as if nothing happened. I figure it has to do with the contrast between scrolling through certain images. However, the kicker is that it doesn't show up when I try recording it or make gifs, nor does it show up when I print screen. But if I have the start menu open, and scroll through, the start menu apps will blur out as well before again, going back to normal. And it only happens over certain images, gifs, or videos.

Is this just my monitor causing problems? It's a samsung LED32 Smart TV. I've updated everything I could under device manager, clean re-installed my graphics card, and the problem is still there.

This also happens in certain games, I'll be running then jump and the text will momentarily blur before going back to normal. I have no idea what's causing it, it just started happening one day. It's a bit frustrating in game so I'd love any insight on how to fix it.

    • Click on the search bar on the taskbar.

    • Type system icons.

    • Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

    Hope it helps.

    Taskbar Scroll Bar Removal

    Hi Nick,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Follow the below mentioned steps and check if it helps.

    • Right-click on an empty area of the Windows taskbar. Click to clear the checkmark from the "Lock the Taskbar" option if needed.
    • Then right-click an empty area of the taskbar, and then select "Properties."
    • Click to place a check in the "Group Similar Taskbar Buttons" box. Click "Apply" followed by "OK" to confirm the changes. This option combines multiple instances of the same application into a single taskbar button. If this does not remove the scroll arrows,
      continue to the next step.
    • Hover your mouse cursor over the border between the Windows taskbar and the desktop until a double-arrow icon replaces the standard pointer.
    • Click the taskbar border and drag it upward to double the height of the taskbar. Any icons on the second row will be displayed, and the scroll arrows will vanish.

Keep us posted for any concerns with windows, we're glad to assist you.

Blank icons in taskbar on Windows 2016

    Hello,

For us to better assist you, we'd like to know the following:

    • Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:
    • Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
    • Click OK.
    • Confirm the said application you're using so we could fully understand the cause of the issue.
    • Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, we suggest restarting the Explorer.exe on the Task Manager. This may help resolve the issue with blank icons on the Taskbar. Refer to the steps below:

    1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del, then select Task Manager.

    2. On the Task Manager window, click on More Details at the bottom left if it doesn't shows the
    Processes tab.

    3. Scroll down the list of the Windows processes and locate Windows Explorer and right-click on it and select
    Restart.

Note: The desktop icons and the Taskbar will refresh and will be gone for a moment after this process. It should reappear automatically.

We look forward to your response.

    Regards.
