Windows 10: Help! Win10 with external GPU crash with nvlddmkm.sys system_thread_exception_not_handled

Help! Suspect this to be a windows update thing and not an Nvidia driver thing. I am using a laptop with thunderbolt to an external GPU ASUS GTX1070. I only use it occasionally. Things were perfect without issues, running games and CAD a week ago. Out of the blue, I encountered the infamous nvlddmkm.sys blue screen of death when I just trying to plug in 2 days ago. The problem is, since it is a driver for external hardware, I cannot view properties or troubleshoot from safe mode. The moment I plug it in, I can see from device manager that 1070 is installed, few seconds then it crash. Things

What driver versions have you tried currently for your graphics?
If it is the newest version, 361.43, try rolling back the drivers.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

 

Computer crashed twice with error: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED(Qcamain10x64.sys) on Windows 10

my laptop had two crashes with this error SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED(Qcamain10x64.sys) this isn't the first time dealing with this issue but I have never been able to solve it. can someone help me fix this issue?

OK, so while I was recording on my Windows 10 device with the Camera app it said I was out of space then it came up with a BSOD ( third time this month) The error was system_thread_exception_not_handled (iacamera64.sys). Can anyone help me solve this and
tell me more about this error? Thanks in advance.
