  1. [HELP] Windows 10 Pro Automatic Repair Bootloop

My laptop hangs for a while then suddenly restarted. Upon booting, it shows the loading screen with " Preparing Automatic Repair " then forwarded me to a blue screen windows automatic repair. It says that windows did not start correctly. Then a lot of options for trouble shoot.

I tried everything in the advance option. -startup repair (did not work) -uninstall update (error occured cannot uninstall) -system restore (error occured cannot restore)

I also researched for possible hardware failure so I run chkdsk /r . After its completion, there is some error in the files in stage 4 (wasnt able to log the exact wording).

Im already losing hope, so my next option is to repair the OS through windows creation tool.

I booted my flashdrive and tried to upgrade/install a windows OS to save my files. However an error occured. It says " if a copy of windows is already installed on this computer and you want to upgrade, remove the installation media and restart your computer. After Windows has started normally, insert media and run Windows set up"

I cannot install it normally since im stuck at bootloop. What should be the best option going forward?

Should I click the other install option in my win10 flashdrive ? (I think it will delete all files)

Should I go for reset PC option in automatic repair? (I think it will also delete files)

Or is there a way to install the OS without deleteting my files and softwares.?

Im ok with segrating all files to windows.old atleast I can copy them when I need to.

I have a feeling that the windows update destroy my OS.

Im using an HP laptop: -core i7 8th gen -win 10 pro -nvidia 930mx

TLDR: stuck at bootloop. I cannot upgrade/repair OS since it need to be access through normal windows boot. What should be the best option going forward? Should I go for reset PC option? Is there an option to save my files? Thank you.

  2. Windows 10 random automatic repair after changing boot priority.

Hello. So i have an Windows 10 Pro. Sometimes when i am changing in bios boot order from USB to HDD ( SDD ) windows starts booting with AUTOMATIC REPAIR and then restarting. Is this something with BIOS \ Windows 10 bug related? Tested on pc and on laptop , and sometimes it doing the same.

    Situation on PC first,listen:

Few days ago after i change boot in UEFI BIOS from USB to SSD.
Then Windows 10 showed at 1 boot Automatic Repair.
When starting Windows 10 boot loader starts by "preparing automatic repair" and diagnosing pc.
Interesting is that if I restart Windows (after procedure mentioned earlier) it will boot normally. This startup problem was occured only when starting system again after shutdown or restarted pc from windows. So i was needed 2 boots to boot properly to windows.
But on pc, format was needed to remove completely issue and after format is fine.

    Pc :
    2x8gb Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz DDR3
    SSD samsung Evo 250 gb
    4790k stock
Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2 with UEFI BIOS

Now laptop with old standard bios:
On laptop i made the same operation, change boot from USB to HDD and on first boot Windows 10 shows Automatic Repair. But it happened once and i cant reproduce. No format was needed.

laptop is very old with 2gb ram

Why on pc format was needed when on laptop not?

    Thanks for suggestions.

  3. Windows 10 v2004 Automatic Repair Bootloop

My Windows 10 (v2004 and OS Build 19041.508) machine gets stuck on automatic repair bootloops at random intervals. Sometimes, after manually restarting multiple times, it will then start as normal but this is rare.

I have tried everything to stop these errors, including fresh installs. The system will work normally for a week or so before suddenly gettting into the loop after a normal restart or shutdown.

I have tried the BOOTREC command methods, all of which execute successfully except for BOOTREC /FIXBOOTwhere access is denied. None of the steps I have tried to fix this error (such as those here: How To Fix Bootrec /fixboot Access is Denied During Fix Boot Configuration in Windows 10)
    work.

Can anyone help me? I am at my wits end
