  1. Help: Windows randomly decides to toally forget a network exists.

This is an issue that's cropped up within the last few months. I'm on wifi getting a decent signal from my AP, and I can see both the 2.4 and 5GHz band.

Now the issue is, is RANDOMLY, Windows will just forget it exists. I mean not a disconnection, but the network disappears. Rebooting solves the problem but it's always touchy. Sometimes 5 - 10 minutes into a boot it poofs. Sometimes an hour. Sometimes 30.

It's getting to the point that it's unbearabley annoying.

I should mention this happens with no other device on my network, and it's happened via two home networks I've had in the past year using two different ISPs.

Anyone else had this issue and fixed it??

  2. Forget a WiFi Network

    Hi Jess,

Windows 10 saves a list of Wi-Fi networks you connect to along with their passwords and other settings. If you want to manage or delete a certain network, just follow the steps provided below:

    • Type Settings on the search box.
    • Click Network & Internet.
    • Click Wi-Fi on the left pane of the Network & Internet window.
    • Click Manage Wi-Fi settings.
    • Select the network name and click Forget.

Note: Since you can't remember the network name you've connected with, you can consider forgetting all saved Wi-Fi networks on your PC.

Let us know how it goes.
