Windows 10: Help with a USB Thumb Drive Code 43

I like others struggle with this.Samsung USB Thumb Drive Code 43 Error A request for the USB device descriptor failed.The SuperSpeed link to the USB device keeps going to an error state Compliance. If the device is removable, remove the device and then disable/enable from device manager to recover.Other USB drives workThe drive does not show in Drive ManagementIt shows in the Device Manager as an errorI have tried Updating the DriversUninstalling the deviceUninstalling the driversI tried unplugging the laptop, removing the battery and letting it sit then trying againI tried it in another lapto

Press Windows key + X Click Task Manager Click the Processes tab Scroll through the list then select Windows Explorer Click Restart See if you can eject it. If that does not work, it could be an issue with your USB controllers. To disable and re-enable
the USB controllers, follow these steps: a) Press Windows key + X, click Device Manager. b) Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. c) Note: You might have to scroll down the list to find this item. d) Right-click the first USB controller under Universal
Serial Bus controllers, and then click Uninstall to remove it. f) Repeat the above step for each USB controller that is listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers. g) Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware
changes and h) Reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled.

Advice from Microsoft: Graphics device driver error code 43

Windows stopped your device because it reported problems. To fix it, try the following:

Select the Start button, then in the search box next to Start, type device manager and select Device Manager from the list of results.

Find the problematic device in the list (it will often have a yellow exclamation point icon next to it).

Press and hold (or right-click) the name of the device, and select Properties. In Properties, select the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver, then follow the steps. If the button is unavailable, that means there's no driver to roll back to.

Select Uninstall device and then select Uninstall.

At the top of the list of devices in Device Manager, press and hold (or right-click) the name of your PC, then select Scan for hardware changes. This reinstalls the device driver.

To see if this fixed the problem, press and hold (or right-click) the name of the device again and select Properties. On the General tab, under Device status, you should see This device is working properly. If you don’t see this message, refer to the documentation that came with the device or contact the manufacturer.

USB SuperSpeed error code 43

Win 10 ver 1709.

Device Manager always reports the SuperSpeed has a problem.

I have tried uninstalling, updating drivers and a Win 10 online reinstall (repair upgrade?). No change. I installed Win 7 to a spare drive and it finds no USB problems. Also, in Dev Mgr, Win 7 does list a SuperSpeed.

I attached snips of USB Tree and Dev Mgr under Win 10 & Win 7.

I want to make the SuperSpeed error go away.
