Windows 10: Help with a virus

Hi guys, I just want to thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this and try and diagnose this problem. I want to just say that I am a noob at cybersecurity so please be patient with me.

So I have this virus or malware of some sort that denies all the devices in my router internet access. The status would be "Connected but no Internet". This problem arose last year in about October or November of 2019. At first, it would only affect my gaming PC. I was very into Overwatch at that time. Then it spread to all the devices with my account; my iPad and my laptop. Then, all the devices under the router would be affected, with the exception of a T400 Thinkpad running on Windows 7, and a government laptop with McAfee Enterprise Antivirus systems. I tried Malwarebytes and Kaspersky Virus Removal, Norton, and Avast and none of them could even detect a virus is on my gaming computer. I have reformatted all of my devices but the virus would come back, and after reformatting them again the virus would still be there right after reformatting. Then I tried to reformat and factory reset the router, and that would solve the issue temporarily, but it would come back still. The second time I did this the problem was still there. I have confirmed that this is a virus as it locked out my government computer. The tech support guys at my office said that there were tens of thousands of attacks coming from my gaming computer. They said that my gaming computer had likely been hacked and turned into a "zombie" computer. I disconnected the gaming computer entirely and reset the router, and now there have been no issues, so the problem is probably with the gaming computer. The one thing that seemed to temporarily fix the issue on the gaming computer was turning on Random Hardware Addresses, which would again temporarily fix the issue but after a couple of times this would not work.

I am thinking about installing Linux or "unzombifying" my computer but I am not sure how to do the latter and if the former would fix the issue. I am asking for help, so thanks in advance!
