    Help with Bitlocked computer


    Hi everyone, I recently opened my computer to be given a screen asking for my recovery key for bitlocker. The thing is when I check my mircosoft account and look for Bitlocker keys for my computer, I'm told there are no recovery keys associated with my account. I've tried reseting the BIOS and factory reseting but bitlocker prevents both of these. I've even tried taking the computer to the geek squad and they told me they couldn't help. I don't care if I have to completly reset all of the drivers and get everything off of it, I just want to be able to use it again. Any suggestions are wel

    Bitlocker frequently locking computers

    Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately these suggestions don't really fit our needs. We want to use BitLocker and don't want to disable it. The problem we have is that it locks some of our computers from time to time. Ideally we will make use of BitLocker but not have it blocking our computers.

    I have tried:

    1. Turning off BitLocker
    2. Installing all Driver and Windows Updates
    3. Turning BitLocker back on again
    Maybe this will help. We will wait and see.

    To enable BitLocker on your computer, you follow the steps below:

    • Sign in to your Windows account with an administrator access.
    • Press the Windows key.
    • Type and enter BitLocker.
    • Click Turn on BitLocker.
    • If the system is asking to sing in to administrator access, please do so.
