Windows 10: Help with Classic Shell.

Hi guys,


I've been using Classic Shell for a long time now, I believe several months if not the whole year. Yesterday, I got a major update for my system. Since then (Build 10586) there is one feature of CS that has been not working very well (I guess) and I cannot find the setting (if there is even one). In short terms, I need to decrease the speed with which the mouse cursor "opens" All Programs in the Start Menu. When I hover the mouse cursor over it, just happens too fast, so that is annoying because everytime I open up the Start Menu and I passes the mouse over that part, it opens up too quickly. It may just be a problem caused by that major build update, as I had to reinstall Speccy and some other software.

If someone knows any setting in there to slow down the opening of All Programs menu please comment.

PS: Hope my explanation can be understood correctly, if not, I apologize. English is not my native language, although I'm studying it *Tongue

EDIT: Better if there is a way to completely disable it. So, instead of hover the mouse cursor, I must click on it.

I don't want Classic Shell on my hard-drive.

What is CLASSIC SHELL? I have Windows 10, and a Hewlett-Packard Pavillion 14. The verified publisher of Classic Shell is neither Microsoft nor Hewlett-Packard, so I don't want it on my hard-drive. I also run KASPERSKY anti-virus.

By not having CLASSIC SHELL am I causing problems? Thanks for any help.

You can change the Menu delay value in the General Behavior tab of the Settings dialog.

By default the All Programs button uses a delay that is twice as long as the default menu delay. You can change that from the Main Menu tab in the settings. The setting is in % - 100 means 1x, 200 means 2x, etc.
This way you can have a reasonable delay for regular menu items and much longer one for All Programs.

If you type "delay" in the search box at the top of the settings dialog you will see all delay settings.

 

Recently I keep seeing this, after Power Up the computer: "Classic shell needs to configure itself for the new OS".
The computer is running Windows 10, and found that I had Classic Shell installed in my computer earlier. The classic shell is by ivosoft.
Should I click OK and let it reconfigure itself? I don't know if it is safe to do this. Any advice?
Another question: If I uninstall the "Classic Shell" via Windows 10 uninstaller, will it cause any problems to my computer.
