Windows 10: Help with corrupted video file

I did some filming on my gopro and i edited it all together into a 19gb movie using windows photos. I saved it to a portable hard drive but now I can't do anything with it. I am trying to coopy it onto my hard drive and it works fine but then at 45% the write speed goes to zero and it just stops. The portable hard drive has no other issues and my hard drive is not full. Is there any way I can save this file? It's a whole day of filming :

Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:

• Open WinRAR application in your system.
• Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
• A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
• Now click Open button.
• Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
• Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
• Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
• Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
• WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.

How do you fix corrupted media files, I have a video on my computer that can't be played

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• How exactly are you trying to access the video files on your computer?
• What exactly happens when you try to access video files?
• What is the complete error message/ error code of this issue?

I suggest you to run a SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checkeris a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

Note: If you are not able to repair some files after performing SFC scan, I suggest you to refer to the point 3 “Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to
fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log”. Under the section “Run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe)” to repair the corrupted files after performing SFC scan.
