    help with desktop beeping but not starting up.


    i have a desktop pavilion and today stops working , when turning on just beeps 3 long beeps then 2 shorts.. before that it was just sending me to auto repair but never start up. now just beeps and screen is black.

    We need to narrow down the issue that you are experiencing, kindly provide the information needed below:

    • Have you made any changes prior to the issue?
    • When did the beeping sound start? Is it upon booting up your computer or once your on the Desktop?
    • Does it have a specific application that you are opening when you heard the beeping sound?
    • Have you noticed if the beeping sound has a pattern?

    PC won't start

    Went to start pc and get the beep. One beep, pause and then repeats. Reseated the RAM and it was working last night.
    Ideas, helpful suggestions or cures would be greatly appreciated,

    2 short beeps then 1 long beep on start up

    seems alot of people are having beep code issues with ASUS lately.....here is the ASUS list of beeps....Award BIOS Beep Codes - BIOS Central
