    Help with diagnosing the issues with my PC ("Critical process died")


    Hello everyone, I am not particularly good at this so I'll try my best to communicate what I'm saying. If you need any extra information, let me know.

    My PC (That I don't know the specs of off of the top of my head. It's Windows 10, pretty high end 3 years ago, and running Alienware) has gotten to a point where it cannot get passed boot saying "Critical process failure". I'll outline what led to the situation and what I have tried.


    At first, I was having daily crashes that mainly consisted of:

    - MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

    - IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL

    - KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE


    At some point, the crashes led to the PC not being able to get passed boot. I would turn on the PC and then would it would say "Reboot and select proper boot device". At this point, I tried pressing F12 ("Boot options") the second I turned on the PC. This pulls up a menu that lets me select "Windows Boot manager" in the "UEFI BOOT OPTIONS" menu. This fixed the situation for a little while.

    Last night, I got my first crash in over two weeks. It didn't get to give me a code or anything, just orange and white vertical lines. At this point, if I go to UEFI boot manager it attempts to diagnose and repair the PC but with no luck. I have tried booting into safe mode (wishful thinking) and it just led to immediate critical process failure. I've tried loading a restore point, but it didn't work. I tried just cleaning everything out but it didn't let me. Now we're here.

    Please let me know what my options are, I'd really appreciate it.

    Critical Process Died on windows 10 setup


    Ive just opened event viewer as you suggested but I cant seem to find any error that says "critical process died"

    I have attached a screenshot of the event viewer. I have scrolled to the bottom to where it first booted up.

    Ive downloaded the software you sent the link for but I'm not sure how to use it as nothing shows up when I load it.
